Fashion icons in the modern world who have influenced what people choose to wear

Fashion is hardly influenced by anyone else as much as it is by famous females. These ladies are known to be the trend setters for people across the world. Lets have a look.

1. Mila Kunis:

Voted the most desirable woman of 2012 according to a recent poll by The Sun, this Ukrainian beauty had her breakout film role in 2008 when she played Rachel Jansen in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’.

2. Emma Watson:

Emma rose to fame playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. She was cast at the age of nine in 2001. She partnered with Burberry in the Autumn/Winter 2009 campaign and in the Spring/Summer campaign the next year for which she received a six figure fee. Despite her looks and daring red carpet gowns, she doesn’t consider herself a female fashion icon.

3) Kate Middleton:

The Duchess of CambridgeKate Middleton, is no stranger when it comes to fashion. She’s admired by millions around the world not only because she is a princess but also for her sophisticated, elegant and chic style. She is often mentioned on numerous best dressed lists and is also known for mixing couture pieces with high street retail fashion. Kate is a female fashion icon in herself without being a Hollywood star.

4) Blake Lively

The youngest of five siblings, Blake Lively hails from Los Angeles. She started gaining recognition after her performance as Anabelle in ‘Elvis and Anabelle’ and as Bridget in ‘The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants’. She was cast as Serena van der Woodsen in the CW’s series ‘Gossip Girl’ in 2007, and since then, there is no looking back for this star. Her fashion is the best food for fashion critics.

5) Lea Michele:

This talented actress/singer is best known for her role in the Fox Television series ‘Glee’. Her acting career took off at the age of nine in the Broadway productions of Les Miserables and Ragtime. But it is ‘Glee’ that made her a household name.

6)  Jennifer Lopez:

Lo has always been a modern female fashion icon. From her green Versace gown that she wore to the Grammy’s in 2000 to the dress by the same designer that she wore to the Glamour Awards in 2011, Jennifer never fails to entertain us with her daring fashion sense.

7)  Jessica Alba:

Her style is always simple and sophisticated, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring. We love the shimmering gold asymmetrical Michael Kors dress that she wore to the Met Gala this year.
